rpm looks at the database of installed packages for most information. The --redhatprovides flag causes rpm to look in a different database. To use the --redhatprovides flag, you need the rpmdb-redhat package installed. Installing that package gives rpm access to a database containing information about all the packages included in the distribution. - -D - -- pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/pgpkey.txt - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE8UOzdeMAUbzJhSVcRAq9gAJ4/ewygEyIr10WQtCVwzDgkhb0yrACgmBM+ 2mwzuAdocZGri3hDLUyR7IM= =ejsk -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
