Hi All, I'm a recent convert from MSDOS to Linux. So, bear with me................. I posted a response to the "telnet connection fails" query, which needs a correction. /etc/hosts.allow MAY be left empty; acting as if there were no access control. It's one of the more frustrating aspects of Linux - just when you think you know something, it jumps up to bite you. But, that's partly why I'm here.......... Please accept my correction................
