I compiled it with 2.96 by setting the --disable-gcc-checking flag.
The creators of mplayer only say they donīt support it, so you shouldnīt
come with questions, bugreports or else when you compiled it with
gcc 2.96. I however havenīt noticed any problems with mplayer (0.90).
Probably cause the developers are talking about gcc 2.96 and not the
modified by redhat engineers version of it. Still you shouldnīt
confront them with troubles with mplayer compiled by this one
either.
