If this is what i think it is (you don't recite the error popup, so we can't psychicly tell), there's a problem in the OCSP stuff to do with sites that issue certificates that list an OCSP service but don't actually have one. This is a config problem with the certificate issuer, bug mozilla is handling the misconfiguration. See bug: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130885 The workaround is to go to Edit->Preferences->Privacy and Security->Validation and select "Do not use OCSP for certificate validation".
