I added to /etc/modules.conf the line
alias fddi0 skfp
 
I do know if the Red Hat support directly for the FDDI SysKonnect driver.

One thing I didn't see in your description was an alias of network
interface to the fddi modules.  Something analogous to:

alias eth0 3c90x

in /etc/modules.conf
