You can re-run the installation, choose the 'Upgrade'
option and select the option to Customize packages to
be upgraded,  This way, dependencies are automatically
handled.

Oh, and yes - dependencies are not handled
automatically by the rpm command (installating
manually).  rpm will look and say what dependencies
are required but it's too dumb to fix it. :D
