I did a periodic 120 day vacuuming and cat hair removal PM and found that my SSL server no longer starts apache with ssl (works fine if I comment all the ssl lines out of the conf file). The error message is :
Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so into server: /usr/lib/libssl.so.1: undefined symbol: OpenSSLDie If I comment out the php4 lines in httpd.conf, the problem shows up with a similar message trying to load /usr/lib/libssl.so.1. I downgraded to openssl-0.9.5-10 and mod_ssl-2.8.5-3 with no success. I am running apache-1.3.22-5.7.1 on the 2.2.19-7.0.16 kernel. I then put the latest versions back and rpm verified the openssl and apache rpms, finding no error. Building openssl from the tarball gives a different undefined symbol (sigh!) I haven't built apache from the tarball yet. No identical problems have been reported in the newsgroups. Anyone have any idea as to what might be the problem? ================= Linux never crashes, so these cleaning PM's sometime reveal interesting problems. The last time I had a similar probem was on a box after a 250 day run between reboots. -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
