I have been trying to install apt-get (RH7.2) using the following rpms.
This is a new install with no updates from RH.
*********
apt-0.3.19cnc55-fr8.i386.rpm
apt-devel-0.3.19cnc55-fr8.i386.rpm
**********
These are the error messages that I am getting...
[root@localhost root]# rpm -Uvh apt-0.3*.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
librpm-4.0.4.so is needed by apt-0.3.19cnc55-fr8
librpmdb-4.0.4.so is needed by apt-0.3.19cnc55-fr8
librpmio-4.0.4.so is needed by apt-0.3.19cnc55-fr8
Any insight?
