I have just installed RedHat 7.3 on a server and get the following error during boot and the system just stops there:
Mounting root filesystem mount: error 6 mounting ext3 pivotroot: pivot_root(/sysroot,/sysroot/initrd) failed: 2 Freeing unused kernel memory: 280K freed Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel. Everything before that seems fine. I have installed this twice now with the same results. The second time I did mostly a default install. Letting the installation program define partitions, etc... I still picked "Server" for the installation and requesting for it to install Gnome, a web server, smtp, pop, ftp, and to allow SSH. I let it do its default of Grub too. I have never had this problem with 6.2 or 7.1. I hope that someone else knows of this problem and can help me solve it.
