Can anyone help me diagnose this problem -- my log files are being
intermittently overwhelmed with these messages for the kernal, so much so
they brought down the box:

Sep 24 17:11:10 ns2 kernel: NET: 12766 messages suppressed.
Sep 24 17:11:10 ns2 kernel: Neighbour table overflow.

Running 7.1 -- when I reboot the machine, I get hoards and hoards of these
messages, and then they slow down, but I am afraid they will start up again.
I tracked back to where they started and found this, which was a bit scary,
since I am not in the least familiar with the host:

Sep 21 16:23:38 ns2 xinetd[11924]: warning: /etc/hosts.allow, line 16: host
name/address mismatch: 194.119.255.146 != mail.cockx.be

Looking around the internet, folks seem to think these messages are caused
by a misconfigured localhost or netmask, but I haven't changed anything,
since the machine was working perfectly.

My ifconfig is as follows:

[root@ns2 log]# /sbin/ifconfig
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:48:11:E4:5C
         inet addr:65.211.214.11 Bcast:65.211.214.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
         RX packets:3612743 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
         TX packets:3288198 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
         collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
         Interrupt:31 Base address:0xd400

lo Link encap:Local Loopback
         inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
         UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
         RX packets:2887 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
         TX packets:2887 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
         collisions:0 txqueuelen:0

Do I just have to clear my arp cache? How do I diagnose the netmask?

Many thanks for any help in advance!

Phil
