I'm having difficulty configuring a remote print queue
on RH8. This worked like a charm on 7.2, but with RH8 it's a
mess.
The printer is attached to a Windows XP
workstation. I've gone through "printtool" (which spits some errors on
startup but seems to work) and configured a "Windows SMB" remote queue.
When I try to print a test page I get an error indicating that it failed to
create a temp printer and nothing prints. From applications nothing
prints.
I've been reading other forums and it seems that others
have experienced the same problem, where it looks like the queue is there, but
nothing prints. This is just new with 8 since I know it worked on 7.2 and
I'm pretty sure it worked after an upgrade to 7.3.
Any one know how I can try and track this
down?
