can't be done AFAIK.... My solution is to incorporate a script that tarrs up my /home/dallas (ext3) and dumps it onto /mnt/hdb1 (fat32). that way when it (eventually) shuts down, i have access to a snapshot on whatevers important on my linux partition while in win2k. gzip it as well if you're low on disk space and high on cpu cycles (or are patient :))) also note that when u open a tar(.gz) file with winzip of a ~ dir you'll get lots of errors with .konqueror and other various temporaryish files that are just a regular PITA. the files/sockets have : in them. da!!as -- ---------------------------------------- dallas baird - Australia Zoo sys admin http://www.crocodilehunter.com.au/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] reception (+617) 5494 1134 direct (+617) 5436 2011 Conservation through exciting education! ----------------------------------------- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
