This is what I usually use. Works quite well. Though I don't use the write feature, as it is considered dangerous. http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/explore2fs.htm There is also a Win9x file system driver that will actually mount the drives read only, but I found that to be a pain (but that was quite some time ago).
