Pop 3 Server

Greetings. I have a Red Hat 6.2 Mail server. The pop service is shutting it self down. The message says "pop-3/Tcpp server failing ( looping or being flooded) service terminated for 10 minutes. Now as most of you can imagine... My phone rings off the hook when this happens...   I cannot find anything anywhere that tells me why? Can anyone help?   Bill ---------- William R.
