Yep, I suspect hardware myself due to the symptoms. I got another suggestion
to make sure /var isn't filling up, as apparently anaconda on automatic
install CAN make this too small. That's what I'll look for first, because of
the successful 7.3 installation I put on there VERY recently.

After that, I'll download, read and apply some of the install guide options.

After THAT, apart from being upset :) , I'll run WDDIAGS and MEMTEST again.
In a way I don't want them to come up with something, but I guess knowing
why this is happening is better.
