It's two different things, really.
The "192.168.230.0" is the first IP address of the network
you're working with. Expressed in binary, this gaves:
11000000 10100100 11100110 00000000
My apologies for any mistakes in the above transformation.
Of these 32 bytes, the first 22 represent the network
part of the address while the last 10 represent a specifc
machine.
