You
could edit the file /etc/sysonfig/iptables and add manually an entry that will
let you accept tcp connections to port 901 on the -lo
interface.
Then
when you reboot this setting will be applied.
You
will also need to modify the file:
/etc/xinetd.d/swat to look something like this:
# default: off # description: SWAT is the Samba Web Admin Tool. Use swat \ # to configure your Samba server. To use SWAT, \ # connect to port 901 with your favorite web browser. service swat { port = 901 socket_type = stream wait = no only_from = localhost user =
root
server = /usr/sbin/swat log_on_failure += USERID disable = no } and then restart xinetd by
doing:
service xinetd restart
