It doesn't really explain *why* more does what it does. I did some poking 
around and here's the real reason...more can run external commands just like 
vi. If its running an external command, it needs to read stdin for the 
results of the command and use stdout for writing the results but needs a 3rd 
descriptor for user scrolling commands. stderr is the one it uses. Bizarre 
reason in my opinion.

I'm ok with opening to read/write perms.
