In Netscape's Network Configuration you can also specifiy an URL for an
automatic configuration file. Your ISP might have made one available and
it should include the proxy server setup. Otherwise, it sounds like you
have put the wrong address in for the proxy server? It often has a diff-
erent port number to a web server e.g. my ISP's proxy server has a port
of 3128. You don't need to change /etc/ppp or any of the network config.
files. I have used a proxy server (with Lynx) for ages without changin
/etc/ppp or anything other than Lynx's config file.
