I've been working several days now on the following problems. The how
to's and man pages aren't helping. I'm running 2.0.32 with the ppp rpm.
1) PPP only connects after about 20 dial in attempts. Suggestions?
2) After it does connect and I try to ping the server my time between
hops is like from
500 millisec to 80,000millisec. Netscape does work but the average
speed to build those web pages is like 12 bytes per sec it stall's alot.
3) What are optimal settings for the mtu and mru settings. I've tried
everything from 300 to 1500 and haven't noticed any difference.
If additional info is needed just ask.
