For the moment, I've simply disabled "close to system tray" and shouldn't have this problem anymore as I normally exit/close after I've written something. My desktop system with Windoze is fast enough to start RN quickly each time, and starting RN fresh on my slower netbook has become a non-issue, now that it's using Ubuntu. Linux rocks! :-)
