Someone gave me a Sox rent a wreck shirt for my kids. No one's ever worn it. LOL

Well, the Sox have certainly been more consistent play-off participants than the Rangers. You gotta be in it to win it. i guess I was thinking more about that, than repeating as AL Champs or WS Champs. I'm not buying on the Rangers until they make the play-offs a couple of years running or 4 out of 5 years. Same with the Giants. I think there was quite a bit of luck involved with them last year. Yeah, they have great pitching but you also have to stay healthy and get a lot of contributions from a lot of players. They had a bunch of guys have big years. I mean, Edgar Renteria as WS MVP?? Talk about planets aligning.... And he's not even with them this year.... But I would need to see them repeat before I take them too seriously. I don't think they have the pitching to do that, however. And their division is going to be tougher this year. As I said, lots of positives coming out of this game, although it's certainly disappointing that they won't be 162-0.... ;-) Re: Lester - he gave up 6 hits, 3 homers. While he just never seemed to get in any rhythm, you could make a case that he wasn't totally awful, I guess - I mean, how many times is he going to give up three homers in one game? The one that Napoli hit was the killer, and that was a good pitch, out of the strike zone. I think you have to give Napoli props for that one, versus saying Lester made a bad pitch... Don't think I was being alarmist, just a disappointing loss. Crawford looked pretty bad, as he has all spring. But some positives - A-Gon looked really good, he has a great swing. Ellsbury looked good, and Pedroia was playing some lights-out defense, looking like his old self. And when did Papi hit his first homer last year? May? Nice to see him get off the schneid early.
