My point was if Salty and Tek have equivalent throw and hit stats, then the pitching staff prefers Tek calling the game versus Salty. So... Adding a AAA catcher doesn't solve the pitching challenge which appears to be turning around now. Our bigger challenges are Crawford isn't hitting, Youk has had a slow start, and pitching started slow. Now the pitching seems to be turning - whether due to Tek or otherwise - at least we appear to be on a better trajectory in this category. Tek may not be hitting but if he's pulling the ERAs down dramatically I can live with a low avg in the 7 or 8 hole. Any news on Youk this morning?
