That's fine. Turns out you were right. But all signs pointed to him being a
special ballplayer. Japanese players can have success here, Nomo, Sasaki,
and he was supposed to be the best of them all.

I think where the Sox fell short was in measuring his desire to play here
vs. his desire to score a big payday. It's clear to me at least that he was
much more interested in the latter.
