Nate Silver makes a good argument that if MVP is really a measure of Most
Valuable Player, then Trout should have won:

On the other hand, I don't think that the MVP should be a purely
statistical award such as the Batting Title or the Home Run leader.

Winning the triple crown deserves to be recognized.  I'm happy with Cabrera.
