Hmmmm,...vitachem could be the culprit as well.  I have used Sanjays seafood
mix to feed my tank.  I added Vitachem to it, and everytime I feed the tank,
the skimmer would go nuts.  I narrowed it down by process of elimination, to
overdoses of the Vitachem in the food.  I now use Spirulina flakes and Nori,
soaked in small amount of Selcon, with some phyto plankton added.  I've had
some of my corals for 15 years, so I have had time to tweak my processes,
and try everything on the market.
One thing I can tell you is Ron knows what he's doing.
