The stumpy has 1 1/8" from the mount to thenozzle and the normal has 1 5/"8.
Ken from Marine Depot told me the motor is smaller but I can't say.

BTW after looking further at the reply I realized that you mentioned 3/4"
model which doesnot come in a stumpy model.

Frank, Tom and anyone else,
I am not sure that I have the stumpy version, but the less room I can take
up with things in my tank, other than corals, the better. How can I tell if
I have that version and does anyone know if I don't, can I convert my
current one to that version? (my current Sea Swirl is the ¾ inch input)

TIA

Shane C.

Hi Tom,
I have the stumpy on my reef. It has a shorter return so it dosn't
backflow
as much water into your sump, breaking the siphon.
