I thought about the sand but was not sure if copper would kill it. I
figured saving the trigger was most important. Now I wish I had found a
better way to treat him like using a hospital tank. Guess thats one of the
stupid mistakes I have made lately.
      The trigger still has a few white spots on him. This has been going on
about two months now. I have tried Melafix & lots of coppersafe. A few spots
have went away but not all cured yet. Any suggestions to a cure?
      From what I know (which is little) it looks more like ick than velvet.
I can also see very little white specks crawling on the glass.

Also, why did you use copper in a tank that has live sand?
