That is true, although I've never had any problems with my ORP. I can see
the reactor helping with gas exchange, but that isn't a problem either in my
tank either. I too do not believe in covering my tank with a glass or other
type of lid. I have a 125 gallon All Glass with the dual overflows. There
is a lot of "water action" just in the overflows. I did not spend the extra
$90 on All Glasses overflow kit, so the water flows over the overflows all
the way down to the bulkhead at the bottom. I have a Mag 12 as my main
return pump. In addition, my CPR SR6 skimmer uses a Rio 2500 which mixes
the water and air up pretty good. Lots of good information here! I have
been trying to figure out which I want to add (if any) UV or O3 for a little
while now. I'm still not sure. Maybe I'll wait and see what happens when I
get a better water filter. I do really like the idea of a refugium. I like
the "natural" way to doing things. I have a 25 gallon sump where my two
green brittle stars now live since they don't play well with others! They
could be the first inhabitants!
