Shane....your lighting is fine. Do what works for you and what looks good to 
you. It is your reef. Your SPS should grow just fine. SPS change color. This 
is the simple truth. They even change when moved from one grow-out tank to 
another under identical conditions. Maintain good water quality and enjoy 
them. What your eye captures is not necessarily the true color of the coral. 
To prove my point, take an SPS from your system and place it under 20KK MH. 
It will probably not look the same. Also, there is a considerable photo 
adjustment period...often times it takes WEEKS for coloration to stabilize. I 
always insists that if polyps are extending and the animal is 
growing....DON'T worry about it.
