Ditto for me. I used to constantly adjust it to try and get it to skim, but
finally said f-it and now just let it do its thing when it feels like it.
Goes a few days with nothing, then just as I think it is not working right,
it pukes out a cup of nastiness.

I have the same skimmer, and I agree with DHOGG, goes for a few
days with
nothing then suddenly pumps out some crap. I to dont have much of a
bio-load
right now so doesent surprise me there isnt a lot to pull out of the
water.

the tube then you have a problem.
It may just be your tank is cristal clean and does not need to be
skimmed..
