How old is the device you are using to measure your salinity? What are
you using? I experienced what you described, and it was the result of
high salinity. My hydrometer was old and bad (even though I had soaked
it in vinegar on occasion).

> pH: 7.9(night) - 8.2(day)
> Calcium:420-450
> Alk: 4.0meqs/11.2dkh
> Nitrates: 0
> Temp: 79-80 constant

> Iodine (daily)

Are you measuring your Iodine levels? Check them if not. 

I suggest performing a large water change. The bigger the better. Use
Instant Ocean with RO/DI water.
