best bet would be no more than 50% and build yourself a nitrate reactor, I have 0 nitrates and change water maybe once a year.....I do add make up water, but I think right now it has been close to 3 years since I did a change....

Hi folks!!, Im wondering if you can help me with a little problem:
I have a 110 gal fish only tank (just some polyps attached to a stone) with
6 amazing fishes.
I havent had enough money to perform water changes as suggested, so my
nitrates went higher than suggested. I know that if I start performing 20%
water changes, im gonna need to change 1 1/2 times the total volume of
water, and that equals LOTS OF MONEY!!.
So im considering on performing a 100% or a 90% water change to reduce at
near to zero nitrates, PO4 and silicates and other nutrients.
Is this safe to do?? Of course im thinking on introducing my fishes after
several hours of acclimating to the new water.
Also, i have 50 lbs of live rock and it didnt helped me with my nitrate
problem even do i have 4 40" bulbs. 2 blue and 2 full espectrum.
Please help me!!!
Marco
pd: Does anyone have used A-Z No3 (Nitrate remover?) cause im considering
in using it.
