you�re right, just check the general conditions of the tank you�re buying
the sand from.
you can also quarantine the ls in a separate tank with a power head for
about 50 days, as you know oodinium needs a host to cycle, and with out them
they will die.

True, but you run that risk any time you introduce any thing from any other
tank. If you buy LS, you run that risk, period. Now, I wouldnt go buying
sand from a tank that had fish that were covered with ich, but none the
less, if you buy sand from one place, or many places, you run the same risk.
Just be smart when making your purchase.
