I realize that I am an exception to the rule but I know that I do not have enough copepods to support the mandrine. He just eats formula foods. The reason why I know I don't have enough copepods is because Shane if you remember I had a terrible time with my tank when I moved it and I have not seen any copepods in the tank since those problems. I have not added anything to my tank since the problem. I think my advantage was that I saw the fish eat brine in the store before I bought him. The hardest part is getting the fish to start eating foods other than live foods. Once that is done it's just a matter of time before he eats anything that is prepared.
