==== Description: ====
A drop-in replacement for Microsoft's .NET framework
System.Security.Cryptography namespace. This project provides users with a
fully open source alternative to Microsoft's cryptography implementations,
while keeping the API compatible. Every aspect of the
System.Security.Cryptography namespace is being implemented and provided. In
addition to staying compatible with existing code, this project will include
useful additions which include some of the older ciphers and newer elliptic
curve variations of existing ciphers. This project will also properly
implement the SymmetricAlgorithm base class to allow developers to derive
stream ciphers, Microsoft's current implementation is specific to block
ciphers, thus their namespace contains no stream ciphers.
There is no code yet available for this project. The project has been
somewhat documented using UML diagrams. Ideas have been gathered, the project
is very straight forward and we're looking for a place to host it all.
==== Other Software Required: ====
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
