The text used in the man page already doesn't match exactly the text
output by remind, so anyone depending on the remind output already knows
they are on questionable ground. Please fix the text.
Are these messages translated (I hope so!), such that any portable
program depending on the text has to know all the possible translations?
More madness.
You could fix both problems by assigning unchanging message codes to the
different messages, so that the codes never change but the messages
can be in any language, e.g.
#!P006: Next line ignored because the date contains a variable,
#!P006: a non-constant expression, or a relative SCANFROM clause
#!P006: La ligne suivante est ignorée car la date contient une variable,
#!P006: une expression non constante ou une clause SCANFROM relative
Using codes makes man pages easier to search, too.
