That's the exception, not the rule. Typically UHF (non tripler) MII's go for
$75 - $100. But even at that price, you are looking at the RF being the
cheapest part of the equation. The antenna will cost more, the feedline may
cost more, the controller will cost more, the power supply will cost more
and a base station duplexer will cost more. I'll assume that the tower and
site are free.

So, a free radio doesn't mean much in the whole scheme of things.

And for $10 per UHF radio... tell me you bought the entire lot... or start
kicking yourself in the rear end.
