Uhhh... no. There are both FM/PLL AND PM 'brown handle' models. There are also both for silver handle models. The only way to tell what was in it originally is to look for the this in the model number (forget which digit offhand, but at the end): A = 5 PPM PM B = 2 PPM PM C = 5 PPM FM (UHF) (or PLL for VHF) D = 2 PPM as 'C' Joe M.
