What are you going to use it for? I cant remember but I think that the DVP would work through repeaters. As far as DES-XL I don't know. I'm versed in DES, as I designed a DES encreption/ decryption modem a few years ago for the military. The DES aproach is very likely a 64 bit serial algorithem with a 128 bit key. You figure out how secure it is..... I guess you would have to know how the encryption is done. I do. Take my word. It's very secure. Enough for the military to use. 73 AC0Y
