Try the Motorola R-2600 This is a great box I use one daily in my job as
a two way radio tech. It will tune cavities encode DTMF, PL, DPL,
2-tone. I have the R-2600C/HS model which has cellular options (don't
waste your money with that I have never used it) and the HS is high
stability oscillator this is a great option and no service monitor
should be sold with out it. One of thing I love about this box is late
if I leave it in my cold service van in the middle of winter I do not
have to wait for it to warm up. I can just re calibrate the monitor and
it's good to go even if it is -30 below zero. One of the other great
features is that it if you don't know the freq you need to work on it
will scan it for you and it will also do this with DPL or PL. It has a
built in tracking gen and a sweep gen as well. If you use it like I do
where your looking at it all day you can hook up a color CGA monitor to
it and have a 14" crt instead of the 6" CRT. The only thing I wish it
had was a second audio gen unit so that I could do 2-tone and PL tone at
the same time.

Subject: [Repeater-Builder] Wanted Radio Communications Service Monitor

Wanted Radio Communications Service Monitor I have found that the
IFR FM/AM-1500 Radio Communications Service Monitor will tune
cavities and do all of the other tests that I need for maintenance on
the MVP 440mhz repeater that I am putting up.

Is there any other brand and model that will work as well or better
then the IFR FM/AM-1500? With out getting a second mortgage on the
house.

Can you help me find one?
