Jim hit it right smack on the head ! Not just my thought but 31 years of
experience working for the federal government in the law enforcement end of
things anyway, that is the exact position I've seen taken by all agencies to
almost any inquiry. Much simplier, quicker and SAFER just to say NO rather
then discuss it and have their postion or answer twisted around and
misunderstood by many. Government agencies operate under a set operational
plan and don't like to make judgement calls based on questions posed to
them.YMMV but I've been licensed since 1963 and have never found a reason
nor need to call FCC....and if I did I would certainly talk myself out of
it.
