I've only played with digital-capable stations; there
are articles over on BatLabs in the model-specific
section. Some people have done it using the wireline
interface; I used the MRTI connector and got a few
more signals off the tone remote control board.

I'd say that the best way to do it is to first get the
proper schematic of the controller boards. Then you
can pick off the signals you need, even though it may
not be very neat. You may have to use capacitors for
coupling audio in and out. Check things out with test
equipment first - don't assume anything. The MRTI
connector has most of the signals you need, but I had
the most problem with a consistent COS and something
to indicate PL was being decoded.

I haven't worked with any analog stations mainly
because of the EPROM programming required. The digital
stations use RSS and a PC - much easier to work with.
