I was GOING to say... If "very much in business" means "not shipping
product anymore"... sure.

L-Tronics discontinued the L-Per and their "prototype" new style
frequency-agile DF set had been on the website for over a year with no
progress.

BUT... I see tonight that they're ACTUALLY AVAILABLE. Holy cow. Need
to go look at that.

Certain models of the original L-Per series models could be set up with
logic outputs that would trigger when a valid ELT sweep was detected,
and other controls to allow for switching between installed frequencies
remotely, etc.

They really were a good unit, and were specifically designed for
mountain-top use.

Too bad they stopped making them. Looks like the new one is only a
hand-held... no mountain-top receiver type planned. Darn.

Oh well, time to go read about the new one... and also see how much this
is going to hurt my wallet... oooh $750. Ouch. But will tune the ham
band... hmmmmmmmm. Nice. But OUCH!
