Funny thing about that ... We have two Micor Repeater Stations here (443.050 MHz & 147.36 MHz) with the original Squelch Gate cards still in them and properly set up according to the Micor Manual(s). We interconnected the two stations using the factory Line Driver cards as in the manual ... even though both stations are in the same relay rack. At no time have we ever considered the possibility of removing them for a 'modern' controller. We wouldn't trade that reliability of using factory designed / manufactured equipment for any after-market 'controller.' You may rewire as you wish (The time is [who carres?] etc.) We have found the ultimate reliability is go the factory route. The only problem we had, a couple of years ago, one of the users speaker-mike cord on his handheld shorted out for part of the day. He discovered this later and apologized.
