I tuned the receiver down to the 2 meter band from 170 mHz with no problem, but I have not tuned the transmitter down yet. One of those things that I will get around to one of these days. I did not have any documentation when I tuned the receiver and a UK ham did the EPROM binary for me and I programmed it into the prom. Now that the documentation is available for the transmitter I need to build up a test cable to take the unit out of the chassis and get the transmitter down into the band.

How do tell the difference between the series 1 and series 2 radios? 2. As radios are the -20 versions, my next question is can they me made to move down to 146 mhz (or even 144 Mhz) without too much trouble? You have to program the EPROMs using an external programmer.
