Talking about the basic rick... If you must have the ID'er function... an ID O'matic in kit form via Ebay does the trick pretty darn well. As you progress up through the rick model numbers you run into other similar rick style products that have the ID'er, Multi-CTCSS/DCS capacity and telephone interconnect (auto- patch). Basic RICK Unit Motorola i20 aka I20 aka i20r rick Motorola i50 aka I50 aka i50r rick Made by Zetron Motorola ZR series of rick units (at least 2 that I know about). Some are setup with jumpers and some of the more serious versions programmed with software. The above doesn't even talk about or consider and not related to the the CPI and MARTI interconnects (a lesson in punch the clown face frustration).
