For my basic RICK, I used a BASIC STAMP to CWID and give courtesy tone beep.
It is very small and all fits into the RICK box. I've heard of others using
the com spec ID-8.

Talking about the basic rick...
If you must have the ID'er function... an ID O'matic in kit
form via Ebay does the trick pretty darn well.

As you progress up through the rick model numbers you run
into other similar rick style products that have the ID'er,
Multi-CTCSS/DCS capacity and telephone interconnect (auto-
patch).

Basic RICK Unit
Motorola i20 aka I20 aka i20r rick
Motorola i50 aka I50 aka i50r rick
Made by Zetron Motorola ZR series of rick units (at least 2 that
I know about).

Some are setup with jumpers and some of the more serious
versions programmed with software.

The above doesn't even talk about or consider and not related to
the the CPI and MARTI interconnects (a lesson in punch the clown
face frustration). So now you have enough information to really
confuse yourself.

cheers,
s.
