Being a ham you have the basics , dc power etc... even epoxy will flake but may be a cheaper in the short term , as for anodising I took my last lot to the local plater and had a couple of car bumpers done for a reasonable price so I will stand correction but if that service is available it should be affordable for a professional finish ? I had a whole Heathkit amp done years ago and it looked quite replenent in bright blue .
