The last time I visited the site, I too found that I was required to create a login, which I did without any real trouble. No trouble viewing then with IE7. I do get an occasional ad email about purchasing publications of Mr. Cebiks work. I assume that this is intended to support the continued hosting of the site.
I'm glad that there is an effort to keep Lee's pages available after his passing.
